What Do I Do With Serger Tails?????????

Well, my friend Shari has put together an awesome tutorial on what to do with the serger tail as I call it or as she says the long serger thread.............

I have also worked on another type of upcycled dress today.  It is a little different than the ones I have been currently making.  My daughter asked for a new dress for her program at church in the morning so I came up with this new dress.  She loves it because it twirls.......

Tally for Haiti

I will be figuring out how much I am going to donate to the American Red Cross from the sale of the dresses in my etsy shop this evening.  I am donating 20% of the sales from my etsy shop from the month of January. 

Ive started taking requests for custom orders through etsy as well.  If you have something in mind let me know and I'll be glad to see what I can put together for you.  Here is my latest custom request that I finished last night.  I absolutely love how it came out.

My hopes are to start sewing more and more this week. I finished 3 outfits yesterday and hope to keep on pass with that again today. I am going to start adding a few different items. I am hoping to add more variety to the shop.

My goal this week is to sew more and then hopefully come up with a fun tutorial for something. HUMMM what could it be. Who knows I just want to start crafting more and more.

Lil Blue Boo Challenge

Well, I worked on a project today for the lil blue boo challenge. Of course my biggest fan says what the heck is that on the back of the dress. Well, Mom tried to go a little euro and obviously it didn't work out according to hubby. Oh well....my biggest fan loved it.

For those of you that do not sew I would recommend trying one of these patterns they are soooo easy and very detailed instructions for your. This is going to be very competitive Im sure and my creative juices have been flowing. Of course I want to win but I'll just be happy with trying a new technique that Ive not used before.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

I am so excited that the new year is here. I am making big plans for myself this year. I want to start trying more and more new things. I want to take more risks and step outside the box more. I think I am making some new years resolutions even though I don't like to make them. I cant wait to see what 2010 brings our family and my creative side.
